Start with the actual treatment menu
A Moroccan hammam visit may combine steam, black soap and a kessa scrub. A spa package may also include ghassoul, massage or a facial. These are different services: a longer name does not automatically include every step. Compare the named treatments, their stated duration and the inclusions on the venue page. The operator menus linked below illustrate how much the combinations can differ.
Ask about privacy and what to bring
Check whether you are booking a shared admission or a private treatment. A private room for a massage does not establish that the hammam area is private too. Ask who shares each space and whether changing facilities meet your needs. Confirm the clothing expected during the treatment rather than assuming that every establishment follows the same practice.
Check towels, slippers, soap and the kessa glove in the inclusions. Bring what the venue asks for; do not buy a second set merely because a product appears in the shop. If a product ingredient matters to you, ask for its actual label. Mention questions about comfort or treatment intensity directly to the venue.
Choose a time you can attend
Read the complete treatment duration and allow for travel, changing and any separately offered tea break. The start time you select is the beginning of your appointment, not a promise about transfer pickup. Check the address and transport arrangements independently.
Review the confirmation state
An availability request needs the venue to review it. It does not hold a room or therapist. An instant booking uses the venue’s maintained schedule. Read the final status and any remaining confirmation step before treating your visit as booked. Keep the reference so you can retrieve the details or ask for help.
Choose a simple first visit
Start with the city where you are staying, then compare the actual hammam treatments. A shorter scrub and a longer hammam-and-massage visit offer different experiences. Open the explanation beside a treatment to understand it before choosing. Tell the team if this is your first hammam and ask for the steps to be explained at the venue; you do not need to know the ritual in advance.
